ABOUT THE CAR
First a bit of background, I originally owned a 924 Lux back in 1984, bought brand new from Ian Anthony in Bury for the not-inconsiderable-in-1984 sum of £12, 250. It was Alpine white with black pinstripe, I sold it just over a year later but have been a Porsche fan and PCGB member off-and-on ever since. As we currently own a low-mileage Irish Green 1969 911T and to avoid overusing it I thought a 924 would be a good idea. Originally I looked for a 2.0 like the one I had new, but soon realised a 2.5l "˜S' would be a better bet. I actually ended up buying two, the first a D-reg, then I saw this "˜88 just a week or so later and it had the pinstripe and - apart from being 2.5l - was exactly the same spec as my "˜84. I then sold the D-reg and kept this, fully expecting to keep it for some years. It will be sad to see it go, but we just don't have the space and it isn't getting used as it should.
Purchased by myself 1/5/2005.
6 previous owners.
HPI documents included. No known accidents/thefts.
Original matching engine.
7 previous MOT certficates, back to 1987.
This is the 1988 model which uses the same full 160bhp 2.5l engine as the 944. (1985-1987 924S models used a slightly detuned 150bhp 2.5l).

Car has been totally reliable in my tenure. Has just been used on weekends by me, including PCGB events like Rydal House with R18 in 2005 and the Cotwolds Rally 2005. It did have some use in 2006 but not as much as I would have liked due to work and my son's football commitments every Sunday! It is currently stored in my dehumidified garage.

THE GOOD STUFF
Everything works as it should including sunroof, electric/heated mirrors etc.
One of the best condition 924 interiors I have come across. Only 1 tiny dash crack (the dash is prone to cracking on all 924's, practically every one I have seen has been a mess).
Paint appears to be original.
Pinstripe interior including pinstripe doors (optional extra) in excellent condition. In fact I'd say the driver seat is in better shape than some year old cars I have seen!
Both sets of original keys supplied.
Original "˜S' graphics on side.
Original sunroof bag supplied.
New battery September 2006.
Belt service July 2006.
New wipers 2006.
Recon PAS pump fitted by Classic Car Workshop, Coppull, May 2006.
New Vredestein rear tyres, these transformed the car and finally made it safe in the wet!
All original handbooks supplied.
Original 15" alloy wheels, could do with a repaint now, but in good condition.

THE NOT-AS-GOOD STUFF
Driver's door does not open with key (remote does though).
Mark along nearside wing/door.
Slight whine from diff, very common on 924/944's now, not distracting.

Car has been SORN since October 2006. But will be sold with 6 months tax and a new MOT.
No canvassers or part-exchange.

Price £1695.
