1988 automatic transmission

Hi,
can anyone help with an issue i have about sourcing a part. My automatic transmission cable has snapped right near the Transmission I am trying to get replacements for these. Its the ball socket end that fixes to the selector lever (Transmission not shifter end) in looking at the manuals it looks like this piece unscrews and i might not have to replace the whole cable. Finding one seems to be quite difficult!

I'd try to phone Leicester {Glenn), Exeter or Reading OPCs and chat it through with them.

Becs,
I think you may need to look again at the parts diagram - the one you have shown appears to have the earlier gear selector - my 1989 automatic
had a different selector lever to the one shown.
I think the one shown is for the early square dash 944.
