Hi all I have mentioned this before, but One of my Clients has a red 1988 Turbo S for sale, just thought I would bring it to the forums attention in case anyone is looking for one,it has had lots of very recent work including all the usual stuff,Belts etc.
It is a proper Turbo S in pretty condition with No sunroof,Konis,LSD etc but in Guards with Black leather interior. He has had a couple of people look at it pre work being done but it is now ready for sale.
His name is Martyn Ives and he can be reached at his workplace- Danmar Kitchens, West Malling.
I have nothing to do with the sale just mentioning it on here Incase someone is on the lookout for a Turbo S,he is looking for 11K or thereabouts.

Mark,
I looked at said car with Martin RS2K with a view to him buying it, he was genuine and had cash in his bank ready to transfer,he did not buy it at the asking price for a couple of reasons, the bodywork is very good along with the interior, as stated it is the "real deal" Turbo S with a nice history.

It does need new wheels as the original forged items must have been machined a couple of times and the amount of metal removed has been substantial i personally would not be keen on travelling to far in the car, the wheel caps stood proud !

The steering was vague and required attention, possibly a replacement rack and alignment, i am not wishing to knock the car at all as it has a massive potential to be excellent with a few quid spent on it.

A nice car but 9.5k was nearer the mark considering what the car required to bring it up to 99% spot on.

Martin was unsure so we came away with a view to a train ride back after thinking about it, the clincher was he already has a cracking 944 Turbo.

Good luck with the sale as the owner was a nice guy, if i had the spare i would haggle and if it went my way would be bringing it home to join the collection after fitting different wheels of course [:D]

This is an issue with the forged wheels. I think I'd add them to the list of "future pension fund" items if you have perfect, unrestored originals.

Was a nice car but as Frenchy has said it needs new wheels and a few other jobs done that I think Martyn has planned to do.

I really liked the car and was very close to doing a deal but in the end I walked away.

Front CS Forged wheels still available at OPC.......................Sit down for the quote !
I have a good set that have had a refurb, but they have been painted, the original finish is impossible to achieve aftermarket as far as i know ?

Hello Chaps, since you viewed it he has attended to all the maintenance items apparently,I think he has a bill for 2-3 k? If it is of interest still talk to him he is a nice guy,I am sure he would come to a deal ,he has just bought a big Audi SUV and just wishes to sell it having ticked that box.The only fault he mentioned is the drivers seat adjuster. The wheels look good refurbed but I am sure if it was a deal breaker he would adjust the price to take this into account.Someone will get a nice car,I think with very little effort it could be made quite minty.
