Hi

I have recently purchased a 1989 carrera 3.2 (widebody) convertible. I am trying to track down service manuals for this car (preferably electronic) and original Porsche manuals. Does anyone know where I might be able to some these.

Cheers

Ian

If you go to www.highgatehouse.co.uk i think you will find Rick has loaded all the workshop manuals for you to download Free! Ref the owners manuals try Gmund cars they supply them, check price with OPC as well

Hi Geoff

Thanks for the advice. I went to the site but could not locate the manuals. They seem mainly to sell decals which is also really usefull. Any hints?

Cheers

Ian

The other way is to get a Bentley manual for the 3.2 which will cover most. Can get from PCGB but suppose Amazon will also sell.
Have a look on ebay as well
Other thing i found useful is Parts catalogue, get on disc from OPC costs about £7 i recall. Has all models with exploded diagrams and part numbers
under Porsche number 00004340005

I believe the manual download on the cannell website is the Bentley manual and not the factory manual.

Oh, and you can access the Porsche parts catalogue via the official Porsche web site.

Hi Ian,
I bought a '87 Carrera Coupe Sport recently and it came with an excellent CD, which I know was purchased off eBay. If you go to an eBay shop called "The Toy Parlour" you will think you are in the wrong place! but put "Porsche 911" into search on the site and you will see the CD called 'Porsche 911 Service and Maintenance 1984-89". Priced at £1.99. I have found some of the Ebay CD manuals to be pretty poor - pages missings/out of sequence etc - but this one is good, other than the manual file being in reverse order to the index! I'm not sure of it's origins, but it is concise, easy to follow - good english and photos - I've used it several times and printed out key parts so I can build up my own hard copy manual.
