hi all

Looking for a bit of advise. A friend of mine is looking to sell me his 1990 964 C2. He's owned the car since 1991, 26k miles. Guards red, black leather, sunroof, full history (not Porsche dealer) completely unmolested and original.
what sort of price would you think it's worth in the current climate?

Judging by most recent sales, at least £90k for a mint car with those miles.

I'd ask 911 Virgin as they will give an honest apraisal without froth....

This 964 Manual recently sold in under 24 hours at full asking price £85,000 so your friends car should retail for similar money if the provinence and condition is as impressive

964's with low miles and paperwork to back it all up are very thin on the ground and as they say, unlike restored examples, they are only ever original once :ROFLMAO:

The car at 911 Virgin has a virtually immaculate OPC service history with paperwork. I would estimate that he woild have paid somewhere around £70k or even less and the £85k retail would have been a bit of a fishing expedition to see what the market would pay. If it's gone quick then he will.have got close to the price unless it went to another higher end dealer.

The car you mentioned hasn't got an full OPC history sounds like not much specialist and mainly local garage. If the car has been serviced annually and has copies of the work and mots thetefore well looked after, then the value would be about £60k ish. If the car has been serviced every 2/ 3 years and yoh have paperwork to support mileage then lower £50's.

Realistic private sale prices you can add maybe £5k, anymore and then your into kite flying territory.

Please note you can add value to the car if it's the lower end of the scale by annual servicing at a specialist/OPC.

I repeat car sold in hours of being advertised and for the asking price There was possibly more than one interested party but as stated before THEY ARE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE which adds to the uniqueness of this mint example
