1990 Turbo Dump Valve

Hi All,
I've been told that the vacume operated dump valve on my 944 turbo is knackered along with the throttle position sensor. I have bought a new throttle position sensor, but have not fitted it yet.
JCT have quoted £50 for the new dump valve and while I was pleased with the price I am wondering if there is a aftermarket one anyone can recommend.
All advice welcome as Turbos are new to me.
Thanks.

I decided to get a new one for my 90T, i fitted one from a SAAB 9000 turbo. I think it was £30 for the saab dealer. Its a bosch one but better quality. You can pay about £100 for a DV but to be hnest they dont really do much in terms of performance.

The main problem with the original dump valve is that it has a plastic diaphragm that over the years either splits or fails so you get boost leaks. The current valve that Porsche sell is exactly the same as the two fitted to the 993 Twin Turbo and has a metal diaphragm to overcome that problem. If it is good enough for a 400+bhp 993 then it's good enough for me.

I got one from Silverstone OPC a few months ago for £38.94 + Vat after my 10% club discount. The part number is 993.110.337.50

Here's a picture of both the old and new:

Yes Paul its the same one thats fitted to the Saab with the metal diaphram, but its about £10 cheaper from SAAB than Porsche!!
