Anyone know if indeed in 1991 there was a turbo se, or was this just badged a turbo and dealers etc. just keep calling it an se because of previous models. My understanding is that this is a 2.5l 20bhp model with electric s/seats and a/c as standard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

There is some discussion on this, the silver rose limited edition was a Turbo S and had 250 Bhp MO30 and no sunroof, it was a limited edition and some cars were not actually silver Rose colour with the stripy pink trim. Once all the silver rose cars had been sold the satndard turbo model carried on with the 250bhp engine, LSD (limited slip diff), strengthened gearbox (1st and 2nd gear hardened), large front brakes from the 928S4 but the MO30 became an option. The sunroof was replaced.
Some people presume this was the Turbo SE, others say that SE is just another name for the S (Silver Rose), and this model is just a Turbo. (however carrying over engine / gearbox / brakes from silver rose not earlier 220bhp turbos)
The late cars have similar spring rates but Sachs fixed (non adjustable) dampers, they often have leather and 10 speaker stereos. The 1990 on cars have a bridge spoiler at the rear replacing the rubber item (968 style).

To confuse the issue further Porsche Cars GB made some S2' s that were badged by them as SE and reputedly had different management chips.

Then when you come to insure it they will ask you if it' s a turbo or a Turbo Lux [&:]
