The new add on pisonheads for a 1991 Turbo SE, I'am interested in buying this car, the price seems on the low side for a dealer, anyone know why ?, the service on it looks good but is there a hidden problem Iam not seeing, any advice please Colin

Is it in Scotland by any chance?
If so have a search for the garage name here and on Tipec......
Caveat emptor as they say.

If it is that one in Scotland, you can see the seats cracking quite a bit anyway! And how much Silicon spray is under the engine bay?

The place has something of a 'reputation'. Not to say that this isn't a lovely car, but ... don't make a long journey to go and see it.

Oli.

Some very bad experience of this garage has been docmented on this website and on the TIPEC site.

Be very careful and get an independant PPI carried out - Peter Morgan or equivalent.

Yes few stories about others experiences on the not so bonny banks of Loch Lomond knocking around. If as suggested the car is known to Promax as the most recent servicers I would suggest giving Andy there a ring and see what he thinks of it (am sure he wont mind).

If thats J44 SMP, we last saw and serviced it three or so years ago - the owner was local to us, he sold it as he moved pubs and had nowhere to keep it. We never saw it again after that. It appears to have covered little mileage since according to the advert. It was a reasonable car back then, but that was three or so yeras ago. The sills were a bit scabby. I heard it had been sold to someone, who then bought another one and is selling it (J44) again.

Give me a call if you need to know more!

Andy (promax)
