Gr8 in't it!!!

This was the last race in '93, and whoever won it, Alzen or Heger, would win the '93 Supercup.............

I've always imagined the marshall's and Clerk of the Course just turned a blind eye to the antics!!![:D]

Great footage!

I like the cameraderie among the drivers, at 2 mins 40 seconds, the driver in the lead white car is clearly jestering that they share a freshly ground cup of coffee after the race!?

One thing that intrigues me, is that with such a large number of cars in the series and the years they made them, there really are quite a lot of 64 Cups...where are they all now?

Collections or European track days?

Yes, I appreciate we have a handful of owners who post on here!

Well, you've seen the way they've been driven Paul!!![:D]

I know of at least eight in the UK..................

Many former Cup cars have been heaviliy modified.... you can tell only by the VIN what they used to be. Some are still original or have been restored to original.

Martin lists quite a few on his data base website.

And, yes, there are a few owners on this forum.

Rgds,

Good point Paul. But quite a few might be pushing it a bit. Anyone know exactly how many made ? Paul Frere quotes 127 for 90-93 build. Minuscule compared to RS numbers for sure. And just how many 64RS do we see around now!

I suppose you are right chaps, ref the number, again from other sources I have read closer to 235 cups all in (cups, RS cups, Supercups - who knows).
When you consider how close an M003 964RS is to a cup and there are >150<290 of those as well, the numbers start to add up,, even at Porsche gatherings you rarely see any more than a few together.

How many cup/M003 are you likely to see at Spa in April???

Looking at last years pics you might believe those Cups/M003 were the only Porsches made in the 90s.....[;)]

This year? No idea, seems they are in Nigeria now.
