The first monthly Goodwood Breakfast of the year is on Sunday 2nd March and these prove to be a great way to spend a Sunday morning [:)]. For those who have not been / need reminding, the event is free and the roads leading down to the circuit are great fun.

If you're interested in going down in convoy, put your name down on the list. It is open to all.

I suggest joining the FB5K lot who do a regular monthly jolly down to Goodwood, meeting at Guildford Cathedral for a 7:30am set-off (linky: http://tinyurl.com/2dp3zu)

* Mark or Kish, if this could be stickied at the top, that would be much appreciated!

Now 'stickied' at the top Simon.

Sorry, I will not be able to make it as I will be in flight. Incidently I had contacted Goodwood Breakfast guys for all the events this year and they said that there will be no German cars breakfast Sunday this year in August like it has been for the last 2 years. They said we will just have to pick whatever Sundays that meet our car catagories and come along to those...

Thanks Kish but I'll keep to 'Sanjib' (see what happens if you get too much Californian sun [;)])

Doh! That is what happens when you hide your profile Sanjib; so what are you hiding? [;)] Simon is smtk []

Hiding nothing (although I am Rod's brother from another mother - but that's a subject of another thread.

Back on topic, shame you can't make it Kish. Hope there are others who can. The drive down usually proves to be as enjoyable as the event itself. Hopefully there'll be a mix of exotica going down from Guildford - Ferraris, Lamborghini etc., humble and not so humble Porsches too.

So with any luck, we might be able to persuade Mr Naghar away from Oxford for one weekend and show off his Beast [;)]

Wedding preparations have got in the way Chris. But I've come to my senses and will be at the Ace next week as a start. How are you enjoying the Turbo? Ready to fit a Tubi or something equally appropriate so that the car can sing properly

Does anyone happen to know if PCGB are planning to do anything at the Festival of Speed this year ?

I'd need to check my notes, but from memory... nothing.

No presence from the club this year.. however you'd perhaps hope that the local region would put something together possibly..

Agree with above, run down to Goodwood would be a laugh, but guys, come on, how about a later start? [;)]

cheers, John

Sanjib - good to see you back! See you all at the Ace on Wed

I was proposing that we join in with others who will be running down, hence the early start! Ariels, Lotuses and the like.

A later start will mean busier roads going down which won't be as enjoyable. It could also mean longer queues at Goodwood (for those that remember last year's trip down to German Marques and I think we left marginally after 7.30!)

CharlieStar, perfect opportunity to see how your car sounds through london's tunnels on your way to guildford!
