2.0L Boxster Sevicing Costs

Hi,
I have a 2019 Boxster, 2.0 L which has the extended warranty and was last serviced by the OPC from which I bought the car. It will soon be time for a service as I had it serviced nearly 2 years ago when it was 4 years old and the service was a major one and cost £1,425.00 (Inc over £800 labour). The next service, due soon, will be a minor one so I was a surprised to be quoted £1,390.86. (With just over £1000 labour)
I know labour costs have gone up a lot in 2 years but the cost seems a bit excessive for a ”minor” service.
I will get a quote from another OPC that isn’t part of the same retail group but when I did this prior to the service 2 years ago the costs were pretty much the same.
Am I out of touch with todays servicing costs and are these in line with others experiences?
I guess I could use an independent and will probably do so after I have let the extended warranty lapse.
Any comments appreciated.

Have you tried Perth was qtd a lot less than Edinburgh for 987 Spyder service circa £790 .speak with the service manager not the advisors for a quote

As I read it the next service is 6 years ?. This will need the drive belt replacing so will need a day in the workshop thus the labour cost. Would check on this plus of course asking for the PCGB discount on parts to be used.

Here's what's on the 6 year service in addition to the 2 yearly. Robert is correct in that it will need a drive belt and air filter replacement.

Depending on where you are, call around the OPCs in your area and get some prices. You may well be surprised.

Dan
