If anyone out there owns a 1972 Tangerrine 2.4S re PGC 352K chassis no 9112300284 and would like some history on it let me know. I owned it for 10 years and took it out to Hong Kong and brought it back.

It must be out there somewhere.

Still regret selling it, the early cars are so special!

The car is not on the register but I will keep my eyes open. Thanks for the offer on the history Mike. Very special cars yes!!

Ian.

This car was delivered to AFN in November 71 and was sold by a dealer Glen Henderson ?? on 3-3-72 when it was registered as WAG 660 K. Does anyone know who the dealer Glen Henderson was and where were/are they located ? I hope this helps.

Glen Henderson used to have Porsche dealerships in Glasgow and Edinburgh....

They are now a non Mercedes Benz approved dealership based in Ayr...

The Glasgow Porsche dealership was in Maxwell Drive, Bearsden....

Once got to sit in a 959 and F40 which they had on display at the time of the Scottish Motor Show circa 1988/89, only 2 cars in the showroom and fantastic.....

Interesting. My 2.4S is number 199 and it too was first registered in Nov 1971 . ( Austria )

my other 2.4S is 614 and it was first registered in Feb 1972 ( Italy )

Both now in Ireland , well almost , 614 is being restored by Mark at 9M Ninemeister in Warrington. Hurry up Mark !!

IT was sold from the dealer in Glasgow, and yes WAG 660K. was then given a private plate which I think was 555 TKK or similar (memory fading). First owner was in Ayr. Can you imagine owning a new 2.4S in Ayr in 1972 with low traffic density on those roads and everyone else in Morris 1100's, must have been amazing!

I bought it from David Alston in 1991 and shipped it to Hong Kong where it had the plate EY 2143. It came back in 1996 and was then back to PGC 352K.

have you been in contact with Mike ( 210bhp ) on DDK ? He's from Ayr area & knows a lot of the cars that have been & gone
