Hi Andrew . . . and welcome to the forum.

What a good first post . . . one that I can't immediately answer . . . can I suggest you call Russell Lewis of RSR enginerring (911 PCGB Tech advice - on 01428 602 911) . . . unless someone can chip in.

Any photo's/details about the car?

Cheers

Thanks Phil and Andy for the quick response, it's greatly appreciated!!. My car is ready for it's valve clearance and cylinder head re-torque after having done 500 miles after an engine rebuild, which I'm planning to do this easter weekend. I foolishly managed to leave all of my Porsche literature several hundred miles away from where my car is kept, hence the need for the torque settings.

Information about the car: I bought the 911, a 1970 model Targa T, Californian import built in November 1969 around 6 years ago as a rolling chassis with everything else in boxes. It's taken me the last 5 years of blood, sweat and much swearing (after find lots of parts missing from the said boxes) to get her back on the road.

Along the way I managed to pickup a complete, but extremely holey German import 1972 911 Targa S with matching numbers as a parts car for a small sum which helped immensely in working out how things go back together. I'll be looking to rebuild the 2.4S engine and fit it to the T in the near future.

Thanks again,
Andy.
