2.7 air flow meter

i've got a 89 2.7 8v, and the adjuster on the afm does faff all.

can they be cleaned, or do they need to be replaced?

it's currently running at 3.XX% CO.

also are they the same afm asd the 2.5/3.0/turbo/16v?

Not sure if they can be cleaned but they are different from the at least the 2.5N/A s
