A super-car in 1975, and a super-car in 2012.

Dirty but sooo fantastic ...

So what was your 2.7 doing today ?

I'll bet there weren't many '73RS' out and about ...

OMG: you both this car? Fantastic- its a strange colour combo but it is a great car! Congrats!

Bert

Thanks Bert,

Sorry to say that the Aubergine 911 2.7 is now at SCoM -- took the money I had put one side for a '73 2.7 RS (when they were that price !) -- and changed tack into this and a LHD '73 911S which is in dry storage until April ...

Hence all the questions about salt --- another four letter word !

But I am certainly going to discover how much difference the impact bumpers make to the willingness (or otherwise) for these cars to rotate [:)]

P.S. If you knew me, you wouldn't think this was a strange colour combination.

I once put pink wheels on the Maritime 964RS !!

And I almost put a Speed yellow Clubsport set onto a Guards Red 993RS ... [:D]

Ha ha just the same as that 73S. Spinning like a top.

Lovey car that 2.7 by the way.

Ian.

No Charles, just trying to ensure that I know what I'm talking about [;)]

Just couldn't run to a 2.7 RS ...

But I'm not sure now what I would change.

'73 911s LHD. '75 2.7 Carrera Coupe RHD. 964 RS N-GT LHD. 993RS RHD. 996 GT3R S2 LHD ! Cayman R. Cayman racer ....

It's drug.

Having sold that car when I was at Autofarm, I can confirm that it is a very nice car indeed, and I'm delighted to hear that it has finally found a properly enthusiastic home.
As for that colour combination, it grows on you...... until you have to agree that it is of it's time, and absolutely right.
My partner always referred to it as the Ice Cream car, having misheard my description of the colour.
