2 questions - Tyres & Dash cam

Having bought my 981 Boxster S in November, I've not really had chance to drive it properly in good conditions. Tyres fitted are P-Zero N0 and I've never had run flats before. I'm finding the grip to be pretty poor on them. Taking a familiar route yesterday, the back was sliding too easily. It was 9 degrees and damp but not raining. I get that these are not winter tyres but my BMW with MPSS held on to the road better than the Pirellis. My question is what are they like in good conditions? Are they worth perservering with and will they come good come spring/summer? I'm happy to struggle through until then as long as they are going to perform when it matters.

My second question... has anyone fitted a dashcam to a 981 and been able to conceal all the wires? I'm looking to get one but don't want the wires showing and I'm unsure of where I could mount it.

Merry christmas everyone btw!

What age are the Pirelli's? I have them, fronts are original, rears are 10k old and provide plenty of grip. (I'd consider myself to be a reasonable driver, Traffic dept for 20 years)
As for a dash cam i've fitted a blackvue DR650S, cheaper units effect the fm ariel in the screen.

Are they actually Runflats ?

I have them (non runflat) and like them, good in the wet. Mine are `slightly cracked` ... the carcass between the radial treads but not a problem so far. 6mm front and 4mm rear after 15k.

Try lowering the tyre pressures a little, is the Boxster 2.3 bar all-round ? ... if so, try 2.0 bar.

Mine are fine although there is a lot of criticism of them on the forum in favour of Michelin Cup 2's although I am not sure these are available with 19" wheels. However the Pirelli's are not "run-on-flat" and I don't think any current Porsche has "run-on-flat" tyres.
You get a can of tyre foam with the car in the event of a puncture!

Tyre foam is a mixed blessing. I think it only really works with slow punctures (and with those you could probably get to somewhere to fix/replace anyway).

My recent experience (on wife's VW) was the foam just p*ssed out of the puncture hole.

FWIW I run Michelin PS4s. Big Michelin fan, always seem to last 50% longer than other brands.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

The salesman 110% told me they were run-flats. They aren't.

I have 20inch Carrera wheels on my car. I think the issue with the tyres is that they take quite a while to warm up and offer good levels of grip and similarly, they lose the heat/grip quite quickly. After a heavy week of driving, I feel a bit more comfortable with them. The tyres were made 09/2016 and have about 4k on them.

Still looking at dash cams, in no rush for one so will see if there are any January deals out there.

Happy New Year everyone.

I've got the same Blackvue camera in mine. I've run the wires into the trim above the windscreen, down the A pillar inside the trim, and around the dash and down into the socket in the glove compartment, it all looks pretty neat IMO with minimal wire showing.
