I need to change my rears - 295/30/18 - for the first time since purchase. Looking to replace with what it had on before, Pirelli P-Zeros Assimetrics, which are also on the front.

Best I have been quoted so far is £425 fitted and balanced etc inclusive of VAT.

What do you think, am I paying over the odds at all?

Thanks in advance

That's a decent price (my benchmark being www.mytyres.co.uk who's price matches yours)
If you live in London try Wembley tyres in Neasden, almost always the cheapest around.

I just picked up P Zero's 305/30/19's for £455.00 for 2 from kwik fit. So I'm sure your 18's will be cheaper. Just don't let them fit them!

Scrub that, they are only showing Michelins in your size at 271.00 each ?!?

I got quoted for 2 p Zeros (18/35/265) at 450 quid this weekend by kwik fit. online they are 340 fitted at same place.

yours are 409 at kwik fit fitted

put it this way, although it's all they do all day they still managed to damage one my rims on a previous car which was so bad it needed a refurb. The monkey doing the job didn't even fess up, on the chance I wouldn't spot it. This time around they said they couldn't balance them as my rim was too deep for their machine ?!? I'm lucky as I have friends who have access to tyre fitting equipment, the same kit that kwik fit use & yet he managed to balance them! If you get them through kwik fit someone on here might be able to point you in the right direction for fitting. If not keep an eye on them & point out any lack of damage before they start

315 30 18 Michelin Pilot sport GT2 from event tyres fitted on my drive all in 396 pounds thats half price and thats for a pair. Had the 2 replaced last November

Prices seem reasonable. Worth checking with your local Kwik Fit though what machines they have as just had a puncture repair done but they couldnt balance my wheel as the rears (285's) were too wide for the balancing machine!

Only problem was they then tried to persuade me that it wouldnt make a difference whether they were unbalanced[&:]. Took it elsewhere and had 20g put on...

Had 2 x 265/35/18 PZero Rosso's fitted today at Kwik Fit - £340 all inclusive.

Best price I could find by some margin.

Been shopping around and Kwit Fit online seem the cheapest.

Need Mich 225/40/18 for Fronts - local dealer 170 each. Kwit Fit 192 each but if you buy online 136 each!

Will take on board comments about rim damage and will check / agree before & after!

Also, check about balancing first etc.....

Just noticed on the Kwik Fit website, when you go to order they charge an extra 9.50 for valve and balance and another 1.50 for tyre disposal.

Not quite as cheap as they look then!

To be fair, I have used Kwik Fit a few times in recent years, and have not experienced any issues with the fitting. Price wise, their on-line prices are often very competitive.
