Looked at a 2003 996 C4S in silver, manual (with blk lthr) that's going through BCA Glasgow on the 25/11. 76000 miles, 12 stamps in the book (lastly in October). Rear parking sensors, PSE, s/roof, heated seats etc. Its a px from the Lookers group. If you look on the BCA site its down as a GT2 (don't get excited it not - its a typo). Mid life condition - would benefit from mild TLC. For the record I have no financial interest in this whatsoever - I merely noticed it while on site today.

I can see the value of these dropping like a stone next year, two well looked after and carefully driven cars likely to come to market.

Never seen a good 911 in any Glasgow auction. Car will be a waste of time (value/condition/both) no doubt there.

Well I disagree - I've had 7 x 911's, 3 of which I've bought at auction . Latest being a 2003 996C4S (Grade 2 condition, full history, 55k miles) identical to this one mentioned above - bought it at BCA Bedford two weeks ago and had it trailered up the road to Glasgow. I'm in the trade ...... its all about knowing how the system works and trawling through the shite - they are there.

Good chat

I've bought quite a few cars at auction in my early years. Made money on all bar one (an Opel Manta). Auctions have come on a long way since then. I was particularly impressed with the comprehensive report on bodywork condition provided by BCA

I'm inclined to consider auctions again - this thread put me on to BCA who have an Audi only auction that looks like ex-Audi cars. a 15 plate RS4 looks tempting........
