However, the Best will come from you All !!! And I'm waiting for your feedback!!!

So, if you want to get the best summer you ever had, drop me a line (or two !!!) with your:
*Comments,

*Etc.

Then, I'll be back to you with a short list and manage to get things set up.

Don't forget: the main R19 Asset is You !!!

All the Best,

Cheers,

Fab

Come on Guys. Let's give Fab some feedback here. He is offering to set up an event in July for us all to enjoy. Cheers

Regional visit to see top gear being recorded. I have previously suggested getting in touch with the producers of Top Gear, on the 924 register page, to set up some kind of celebration to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 924.

I attended my 1st R19 meeting in April. Nice bunch. Good to know I am not the only Porsche obsessive in the Thames Valley! I have been a PCGB meber for over a year, but did n't have the front to turn up until I actually owned one. Just took delivery of new Boxsters S on March 1st.

All of the suggested events sound good....
Trip to Top Gear studio. Its the only reason I still pay the TV license.
Factory visits to Mclaren, Williams, Mini or Cooper works
Motor museums e.g. Hayes, Beaulieu etc

Do R19 have a weekend trip ?

Why not come to Basildon Park and catch up with the entire R19 bunch? Cheers

PORSCHE CLUB GREAT BRITAIN - THAMES VALLEY REGION
ANNUAL REGIONAL CONCOURS

Event Sponsored by Porsche Cars Reading

Sunday 6th June 2004 , Basildon Park, Nr Pangbourne

The annual Concours is one of the main events in the Thames Valley regional
calendar. This year we are returning again to Basildon Park, a delightful
National Trust property surrounded by extensive parklands. Built in the
Palladian style, the house has been restored and contains quality pictures
and furnishings. The Concours is being held on the lawn in front of the
house, providing an idyllic backdrop against which to display the cars. Non
competing Porsches will have their own special car park immediately behind
the Concours cars (non Porsches must park in the public car park).
Facilities for spectators include - tour of the house and grounds, excellent
tea room and gift shop.

Competitors - There will be five main classes assessed by a team of judges
following the guidelines laid down for the street Concours (no need to clean underneath). This year's concours welcomes the 911 Turbo Register. Register vehicles are eligible to enter class 4.
All entrants may be considered for the competitors' favourite, which is voted for by all taking part.
Other attractions - Porsche Cars Reading will bring a display of cars plus
lots of goodies for sale and discounted stock. Paul from Purely9 will be there to give advice & technical support..................

Time scale - 09:30 onwards site open for Concours cars. Spectators may
arrive at any time. 11:30 judging commences. 15:00 presentation of prizes.

Cost - ÂŁ5 per head (ÂŁ2 for children) all inclusive. Members wishing to
visit the interior of the house should show their ticket at the official
ticket office to obtain a free entry pass.

Please complete and return the booking form. If you require more
information please call Laurenne Dorgan on 0118 9776846 or Tim Cheadle on 07909 526 783.

Hi All

I'm a new PCGB member and 550 owner and am looking for a home somewhere. Not sure whether the Binfield/Bracknell area puts me into the Thames Valley register area or not so would appreciate some advice on that.

With regard to outings, I'm into anything that allows me to take the top down! So driving with a convoy of other Porsches through some good scenery on a nice sunny day, possibly with a picnic at the other end, would be super.

Regards
Chris

Welcome Chris!

Thames Valley would certainly welcome you, but you are welcome to attend any region - as many or few as you want!

Others near you are London, Surrey, and (just a little further if you want a drive!) Sussex.

London and Sussex have areas here on the club forum, if you want to see what sort of thing goes on. You will get a warm welcome wherever you go.

Hi Mark

Many thanks.. Yep - I am so keen on this car I fiind I'm making excuses to drive aimlessly around the local area, top down... and DESPERATELY trying to keep the revs under 4000! <g>

Thanks again for the response and the welcome. Will certainly look at the other areas as well.

Chris

Hi All

Wasn't sure whether to create new topic for this or not. Is anyone in the Thames Valley thinking of doing the Isle of Mann event later this year? I'm not sure whether there are any spaces left at this point but it certainly sounded like something I'd like to experience.

Has anyone ever taken part in this event before?

Regards
Chris

Hi Chris
Yes Liz and I will be going to the Island - we have been to all three previous visits and can recommend it - your 550 will love it
Welcome to T V region

Excellent! Nice to hear that there would be other ladies there. Cindy and I love to go out in the car together, so she'll certainly be pleased we're not the exception.

Okee dokes - will have a gander and see if there are any tickets available. Thanks again for the recommendation and for the welcome to this register.

Hi Paul

Just to let you know - I have filled in the form and am hoping to get into the first hotel they mention. Which ferry do you guys normally take - Liverpool or Heysham?

Regards
Chris

Aha! That's the one I have requested. Decided (unless there is stuff on the go which will keep us in Douglas for the day on Monday) on the earlier one back on the Monday as otherwise it'd be sometime after sparrows f*rt that we arrived back home. I think it leaves at 08:45. I understand the ferry ride (please pray for a glass-like pond!) is about three hours..... Ooerrr! ;-) What did you guys do last time? Stay the day or leave early?

Will ring Magic Holidays tomorrow to book and pay etc.

Regards
Chris
