Hi,

I am looking at parting with my 997 C2 cabriolet Tip 2005 with only 16000 miles.

This is a very rare car due to the very low mileage and is in superb condition.

Full Porsche main dealer service history.

2 owners

Black

grey extended leather interior.

I would like some advise on how much i should ask for please?

Car is registered with Porsche club including the certificate of authenticity fro Porsche, the car is standard as it came out of the factory.

Whilst I don't want to sound negative, there are a couple of factors that would influence the car's value. Some prefer their 911 to be a coupe so there is probably a slightly smaller market for the cab (personally I like them) and the gearbox of choice is often manual or the later PDK. Many people buying a 997 would also like the reassurance of a warranty and the car would appear to be ineligible for the official Porsche one as it is too old. I'm afraid that the mileage may not carry a massive premium - if it had done double I would personally view it the same and people buy on condition and recent service history.

That said, a low mileage car cared for by an enthusiast with full history is always going to be an attractive proposition to many potential buyers.

It is almost certainly going to be worth more than a 996 cab but less than a 997.2 so trawl the adverts on Pistonheads and see where that leads you. Reputable specialist independent dealers will be able to sell the car for more than you - people buy from them for peace of mind and benefit from consumer protection laws - why not try ringing 911 Virgin (no connection personally), you may be pleasantly surprised and would certainly achieve a quick hassle free sale.

Thank you for the honest opinion, some very useful points noted. I will certainly contact local specialists and ask.

I forgot to mention two important things:

Good luck with the sale.

I hope you are buying another Porsche to enjoy!
