Just got back from my Porsche dealer to finalise the extras on my Cayenne, Only to find that as I will be collecting on a 54 in Sept that there will be a number of additional options available.
The sat nav will now be a dvd based system, the option of TV available,
also you are able to order the power close for the rear door without having to go for the whole comfort pack. All sounds good to me.
They are going to fax me over the full list of additions as soon as they receive them and will let you all know.

Has anyone else got any idea, or have a list of these additions ?

No increase in vehicle price as already secured a sept vehicle with a deposit, So said the salesman.

We will see

Not yet andrew, still waiting. Have had a look on the net. In the states there is a 2005 list out, but as their speck could be different to the uk, I would not want to asume it will be the same.
The dealer said there will be a smaller comfort pack, just to include auto rear hatch close, option of aerokit, tv, sat nav is updated to dvd which is mounted under the seat I think.
There is so much talk on the net about a revised front end, but I cant see it somehow.
You should be ok as they will probably finalise your order in july for sept delivery so we should know by then. It would be nice to know now though so that you can finalise it all. As soon as I know I will post it on the forum.

Like you, I wondered if anyone else out there had any more info.

During the first year of production, it has been my experience that all models undergo many minor on-going changes and improvements, some so small that only an expert would notice. More significant modifications and specification changes are then incorporated in the model's second year of production. This was certainly the case with Boxster and 996 and will no doubt be happening to Cayenne.

I have a friend who has had a succession of new Porsches, but always insists on waiting a year before purchasing any newly introduced model. His theory being that the second year product is better than the first.

It does make sense Oliver.
Have been reading on the forum's of minor faults on the cayenne which will probably all be sorted out for the 2005 model.
well, we live in hope.

Thanks for the reply

Kev
