Hi Guy's,
I have a couple of question on the jacking points, firstly my first Boxster and Cayman S had oval jacking points but this 911 997 has round holes. I have been trying to find jack pads to fit and can only find the oval ones, so if anyone can help it would be appreciated. Also I would like to know if anyone has fitted these pads with the oval head to these round hole locations by sliding them it at an angle to lock them in place but I am not sure if you would have enough clearance to locate from the oval head to the rubber pad. I know you can use hockey pucks but the pads with these locators seem to be more secure ?

My 2010 997 has oval holes in the jacking points. Standard Boxster jack, which I carry for emergencies fits just fine.

Hi

My 2011 911 and 2009 Boxster both have oval holes. However a couple of things you might find useful as follows:

- Design911 sell a jacking pad which fits over the head of a trolley jack. This has both a rubber pad to protect the paint and uses a round locator rather than an oval one. Part number 91172101202 is what you should look for.

- I use Hockey Pucks, but I drilled out the centre of mine and inserted a robust nut and bolt so that they would locate in the jacking point and not move.

Hope that helps.

Regards

Eddie

Thanks Eddie, I did have a look at that punk just waiting for them to confirm actual sizes to see if it will fit a standard trolley jack, the puck seems a good idea as the one advertised is £19 + vat vs a £2 to £3 puck.
