2010 Panamera 4.8 Spoiler Stuck

Hi,

I consider buying a used Panamera 2010 4.8 PDK, 85K miles on the clock. The rear spoiler is stuck in the open position for sometime now, I was told by the current owner.

Replacing the whole spoiler unit seems costly (read in some other forums). Anyone here faced this issue? Any cheaper fixes available. Wondering if it would cause any other damages, using the car with spoiler open?

In general is this model reliable? Any serious known issues? With 85K miles, I am wondering if it is worth going for. Note - no full service history. Only first couple of services done at Porsche, rest in small local garages or indys.
