You must be psychic!!! Only today have I posted at the bottom of last years thread about our intention to do the same thing this year. The original thread is here.
The plan is to do exactly as we did last year, in the same place. Bob's wife, Michele, runs the events at the Elvetham and she's managed to keep the price down to only £1 more than last year (now £16 per person). We have pencilled in the same weekend - to coincide with the F1 Grand Prix at Spa, August 29th.
Monies to me please, either by cheque or Bank Transfer. Address and Bank details available by return e-mail.

Are lightweights welcome at this event too, or is this strictly for burger-munching heavyweights? []
Yes of course as long as they're polished and never tracked [].....you cheeky burger []
Eamonn Holmes took over the Hotel last weekend to get married. According to 'she who knows' it's featured in the latest Hello magazine.
I'm sure it would have been a better article if it had featured one of last years pics of our cars lined up on the lawn!!
Anyway fingers crossed for some more of this good weather and we should have another enjoyable event this year.
See you there,
Bob.
The answer is YES. I'm not making any alterations to events that have already been organised and are set to go ahead, but, I will be asking for ideas for next year. What I'd rather not do is just organise things off my own back without any consultation with the register members. While it's impossible to make everyone happy all of the time, dipping a toe in the water to test potential interest is important.
After a long chat with Michelle Chilton at Elvetham Hotel (over some lovely tea and homemade cake which I highly recommend!), we are having to consider whether it is still worth running this years summer BBQ event.
Currently only six or seven people have confirmed their attendance. To make this event viable, we need a good number more to sign up and this needs to be within the next week to ten days. If we do not receive sufficient uptake, then regrettably the event will have to be cancelled.
If this becomes the case, then aternative suggestions are on the cards, including a Sunday Lunch (at the same venue) either for Christmas, New Year or perhaps a May bank holiday. However, as I mentioned in my previous post, I do not just want to second guess what you would all like to do, so please indicate your preference.
Many thanks for your help on this.
Amanda
I thought I'd mention again that all are wellcome to join the Region 17 BBQ on a different date but at the same venue as per below.
Region 17 are having a 'Drive and BBQ' event, starting at 9.00am (Winall Tescos car park - Winchester) arriving at the Elvetham about 1pm ish on Sunday the 8th August.
If anyone who had booked the 29th, or may not have been able to attend that day and would like to attend the drive or just the BBQ on the 8th, Region 17 would be happy to include you. There are approx 18-20 cars attending to date.
If you check with Dave regarding the money you have already paid, he may be able to forward it to Michelle at the hotel.
If anyone wants more info ask here I'll try to answer it, or contact Region 17 Organiser Steve Belcher at r17@porscheclubgb.com
