Spy shots: 2011 Porsche Boxster
2010-boxster-speedester-5.jpg
Porsche introduced the facelifted Boxster and Cayman just few days ago at this year's L.A. Auto Show. In addition to the next generation 911 (998) that our spy photographer spotted today, he also managed to get first photos of the next generation Boxster.

Looks like Porsche is very busy working on their next generation model line-up. Wish they could be as fast with the Panamera as well, and finally introduce it to the public.

We expect to see it on a major auto show end of next year or beginning of 2010.

Spy shots .... I don't think so, Porsche are becoming the specialists in releasing photos of their news uplifts. The Boxster and the 911 have had more uplifts than Jane Fonda.

Sorry but life is too short to worry about the new Boxster MY 2011. I had a quick look to see if something exciting was going to be introduced, but no. As far as I can see they haven't worked very hard on the bodywork. The original Boxster still looks good today with clean and smooth lines, the best.

As far as the Panamera is concerned, Porsche have been releasing pictures and info on a regular basis, pure marketing to wet future customers appetite, and to be fair they are succeeding very well.

It will be very well built by Volkswagen with a Porsche badge, priced correctly as far as the base price is concerned, then a zillion extras to take to unknown hights. Don't get me wrong it will sell. Porsche these days reminds me of a bit of BMW in the early 80's where the badge was very important on one's drive.

I have just received my french Sport Auto with the Panamera on the front cover and some pages with the pictures carefully released by Porsche. Well if that is the best they can do on the desgin front, not very adventurous, I am very dispapointed. Nothing new here, boring, a bit of a tank (fast one of course) and I find it a bit ugly, as far as I am concerned it goes on the "uncool" section of the Top Gear wall (like the Cayenne).

Take care
Salvador
