I wonder if anyone can shed light on a very intermittent but possibly expensive problem with a PDK transmission on a 2011 Panamera.
Twice now, with a couple of 1000 miles between, I have been accelerating lightly and felt a rough ’burble’ from the transmission - it lasts a fraction of a second. The first time led to a PSM caption, the second to ”Transmission Fail” and also PSM captions. On both occasions pulling over, stopping, resetting the ignition and restarting ‘cured’ the immediate problem, and it then worked exactly as advertised. After the first occasion I put it into the garage to have the diagnostics done but the conclusion was NFF.
I worry that this might be the thin end of a possibly expensive wedge, and would like to fix the problem before something more terminal happens. Does this ring a bell with more seasoned owners? Thank you.
