trying to see if we can plan a calander of events for 2011, me and my team ( me in other words ) but with the help of Copper Chris, ever helpfull Brian and Kim have run quite alot over the course of 2010 and most events have been very well attended.

SO !

looking to see what everyone enjoyed and what everyone wants to see again and what people would like to perhaps not do next year, but maybe the year after ?

Here's a start -

Karting - this was s huge success and planning another night but with teams, including Porsche Techs

Concours - this is being planned to combine 50 year anniversary of the club and Callander Highland games -

Classic Show at Knockhill - looking to attend and provide a display of cars

Glasgow Porsche / Edinburgh Porsche - hoping to have one provide a technical talk and one provide heath check and BBQ

Spring / Autumn run ( possibly weekend away for the spring trip)

Fish and Supper run - has been popular

Golf ? anyone fancy this in 2011 as we didnt run it in 2010

PCGB Southern event ? we havent attended for about 4 year - would like to make an appearance as its the 50th anniversary

Members / (possibly girls) track event at Knockhill ? anyone interested in support a mainly porsche track night ?

Curry Bowl with Tipec ? usually quite popular

Sunday runs - anyone got suggestions of where is good to go

New Years run is being planned early January - most likely Loch Fyne

Gliding day and BBQ at Kinross - I have done this and its amazing - will be looking for commitment from a group to hire one possibly two for a day with instructors -

Classic Car Shows --- who wants to go where ? we have done Thirlstane for the last three years - what about Selkirk or one of the smaller ones ?

Lemans or Oldtimers event ? anyone wishing to go ????

Track Days -

CLASP - wonderfully organised by Brian Wood this year

Trip on the Waverely - bring your bukky eh Brian ?

Road Rally - this is not a rally but a navigation challenge , would like to put together a contingent to enter one in Scotland - entry is very cheap and its for standard cars

Cleaning days ? one spring and one autumn seems to work - and ideally with demos !

right ! thats a start -

please post up your likes, dislikes, thoughts, and IF YOU WANT TO HELP !!!!!!!!!!

cheers
Scott. your RO

Definately up for the annual curry bowl, spring/autumn runs & cleaning days, race night with teams (Porsche Edinburgh would like to do this) and how about an East & West team as well, just to make it even more competitive!

Track day for the ladies would be fantastic, but I'm not sure if you would get enough ladies to do this, although you could set aside a half hour for us on a Knockhill track day if we organise one of those!!

How about a summer BBQ replacing the fish & chip run.............although I do like my fish & chips!!

Xmas night out - Edinburgh for a change [:D]

Any more thoughts................

Kx

PS Wine tasting last night at Dakota should be one for the calendar, although NO DRIVING!!!! My glove wine warmer worked a treat!!!!
