2012> Cayenne diesel PCM Navigation

I am in the process of upgrading my wife's vehicle as we have a second child on the way and was hoping to get a Cayenne 3.0 diesel. Having previously owned a couple of 997's I am aware of the brand and the options and I have found a vehicle that I like. 2013/63 car in red with a number of options including 20's, PASM, HFS and Telephone prep. I had presumed that the later Cayenne had Navigation as standard, however, although I haven't been able to find a definitive answer it appears this might not be true until 2016 model.

I was wondering if someone with a greater knowledge could confirm this for me, and also if this is true, would there be options to upgrade the system and add the navigation module? I presume the standard head unit has all the buttons so can you add the hardware? It doesn't really worry me or my wife but I feel it would hurt the resale in the future without it. Its really annoying because everything is right about the car other than this and I don't want to buy the wrong car!

Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks is advance.

Its not important, the lack of PCM is hopefully reflected in the current price so thats covered. If you are going to keep for a few years the Porsche PCM is always behind the times and more so in the future. A £100 to £150 Tom Tom with traffic is a better bet than retro fitting and you certainly wont get that back.

The telephone module is probably more important.

The Porsche tequipment catalogue lists pcm at £4034.69 and telephone module at £611.57 as retro fitting. If you want them , I would look for a car with it fitted, there are plenty available. Using a tom tom occassionally seems OK in a cheap runabout but seems a bit low rent and a bit cluttered in such a prestigious car. I presume a 2013 cayenne must be the same, because the 2012 gen2 997 pcm following the £150 upgrade I had was an absolutely excellent sat nav, both in uk and across Europe. It may lack access to the Internet like the latest offerings (who really needs it whilst they are driving) and how long will it be before legislation affects them, and their legality, considering the current concern following the truck driver wiping out a family whilst searching for music on his phone. There are calls for a ban on mobiles altogether including hands free.
