After 8 yrs and 80,000 miles I'm trading in my 2004 Cayenne S Manual this week for a 2013 Cayenne Diesel. WHat should I expect?

Anyone have a 2013 Diesel cayenne and care to share their experiences ?

I love mine but it is very high spec, air suspension, air cooled seat, pan roof etc etc etc, I came out of a v8 Range Rover Overfinch and I'm enjoying the 38mpg compared with the 23 from the Rangey.

My cayenne has the same engine as my wife's Audi Q7 but Porsche have really got the chassis, suspension and gearbox setting right, they're like chalk and cheese.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

You'll miss the V8 and you'll miss the associated fuel bills. The diesel is a fine engine if you like that sort of thing, and the interior is a nice place to be though the loading area is not quite as convenient as your old car (the rear seats don't fold quite flat). Enjoy your new car and be grateful you don't have the current version which needs a diet of pig wee on a regular basis[:'(]

Hi
My Cayenne will be 3year old in January 2016. I have done 47k miles and really i cannot fault it.I love the air suspension as the thing looks so good on the lower setting combined with the 21 inch wheels and the sports design package. In sport mode this thing is as good as an 911. Twenty one inch wheels expect to get 10k miles from a set of tyres if you have a heavy right foot, i have a winter set of tyres (18 inch) but they don't set the jeep off. looks like i won't need them this year it was 15 degc here yesterday up in the NW of N Ireland, who complaining. Fuel consumption 33mpg to 41mpg.

Thanks for the replies. I've a set of 18" wheels and winter tyres from my old Cayenne, I know they'll fit but will they set off the TPM warnings, I suppose the only way is to have this coded out or can I fit TPM sensors to the old wheels ? My car is coming from Agnews, it's the 2013 one with 54.000 miles. Collecting it Weds.

I'm enjoying it so much that I've put 1500 kms on it in two weeks and it's too dirty now to post a photo. And I'll be putting another 500 kms on it tomorrow. Hope to wash it next week !
Will the 18" Cayenne Wheels from my 2004 Cayenne work as winter wheels on my 2013 Diesel, will they clear the (standard) calipers etc front and back. Is it a simple change over to winter ?

Dave

Im not sure about your 2004 wheels fitting but really it is an easy task just remove a wheel both front and rear and try them on.

I have a 2011 Cayenne V6 D.
Ordered new, very high spec, 68k mls over nearly 5 years. 35mpg, perfect real world performance, very comfortable. No issues and still looks and drives like new.
I intend to keep it for 100k+ mls.
IMO it's probably the best luxury/sporting SUV in its class, but it's not an alternative to a Boxster/Cayman/911 - these are in a very different class.

I have a brand new set of Cayenne winter wheels and tyres ( I think they are 19"), never been fitted and came direct from Porsche when I bought my 2012 cayenne diesel. They cost over £2k!!! If you're interested pm me and I'll give you full details.
