I hope you all enjoyed our Post Christmas knees up. Deb & I thought it was a great venue and the food was good. The Great Hall was a superb setting for our event and we hope everyone enjoyed the evening as much as we did.
Deb & I sprung a little suprise of our own regarding thanks and awards but obviously would like to thank everyone in Region 3 for their contributions of help and support during 2016. Even by turning up to an event you are helping to keep up the momentum of R3.

Our awards:
Dave Urwin The R3 Pinny Award. This was awarded for outstanding contribution towards feeding us on several occasions during 2016 and in recognition of his culinary skills at our very own R3 Regional show with his amazing chilli for our volunteers.
Kenny Robinson The Fourth Award. This award was for always giving everything a go but never quite succeeding.
David Chapman The R3 technical award was given in light of his technical knowledge and offers of help to other members regarding where to source parts and advice on repairs, even lending a hand with repairs when needed.
Dave & Amy Carnaffin The Spirit of R3 Award for their outstanding contribution to club life. Always first to offer help and to sign up for events (despite never being certain that their 944 will make it, and for taking on the chin any banter when it doesn't) and for their enthusiasm when promoting the benefits of club life at car shows.
Mark & Wendy Duffy Member of the Year 2016 was awarded jointly to Mark & Wendy who have contributed massively to the smooth running of R3 over the last twelve months. Mark is always assisting on the Forum and helping others with his IT skills and they have both organised some brilliant events and runs during 2016 and continue to do so for our 2017 E-WOTY to Le Mans trip.
