After a lot of searching for a good 4.2 V8 Euro 6 diesel, I've just purchased the above.

At the moment on 21" wheels and I' concerned that the ride maybe lees good than the. 20" on my previous V6 Cayenne.
I'll be doing a lot of trans European driving and expect to buy a set of 19" winter wheels and tyres as well.

What are your recommendations for all round winter? I will be going for a Porsche warranty which will probably limit tyre spec choices.

At the moment the car has part worn Yokos on the front and rubbish on the rear (prob to get it through an MOT just before sale).

We had the same model, which we regrettably sold in 2022! It was our third Cayenne.
On the Summer wheels i had very positive experience of the Michelin Lattitude 3 and surprisingly the Yokohmas.
For the winter i bought a 19” wheel set from 9-Apart which included the Pirelli winter tyre - i forget which version - and they were excellent. It rode and handled so much better on the smaller wheels, they just don’t look as good !
Made a huge difference in winter temperatures.

We have 21" on our Cayenne. We did spend out on some Goodyear winter tyres for the 21"s. They were excellent, had superb grip and on the wheels, I think they look better than the summer Michelins, ite something about the chunky tread that just makes the car more purposeful. The ride quality was great considering how little rubber there is. However, I do wish I had spent out for a smaller set of wheels instead. Winter 21"s cost a small fortune and are hard to come by, smaller wheels give a nicer more compliant ride in my opinion but as Robert (above) said, don't look as good.
