2017 Donington Historic 29th April

Hi All,

Wendy and I are thinking about going to the Donington Historic on Saturday 29th of April http://www.doningtonhistoric.com/the-event/. We went to this a couple of years ago and it was a cracking event. Parking on the infield right next to the track and a great turnout by Porsche Club GB with a 997 GT3 RS and a 959 parked either side of us. You can book the tickets from the site and there is a code in the current Porsche Post so you can enter for a discounted price.

Our plan is to drive down early Saturday morning, take in the show and then stop at the Nottingham Belfry on the night for food and drink https://www.qhotels.co.uk/our-locations/the-nottingham-belfry/. Wendy and I stopped at this hotel when we went down the last time. Good parking and a nice hotel, only around fifteen minutes from the track. I believe they are doing a deal for room with evening meal for £150.

If you want to go, add your name below. It will be up to you to book the Hotel.

I know Greg mentioned this event at the January R3 meeting, so I thought I'd do a post following it up.

Going so far.

I've also booked a "parade pass" for the Saturday, £10 a car - you have about 3 laps or so - worth it I think. Should be PCGB cars only for our slot.
For those who have bought tickets via Donnington Historic Web site you should have received a separate email re this.

We've done one as well, got the email the other day. I know Julie and Darren have also opted for this. Don't know if Deb and Greg have. I was going to mention it yesterday but in the all the excitement I forgot. I'll drop them a message. I believe Amy and Dave are going to do it as well once they have booked up.

Hi,

Just to make sure we have no problems getting in the restaurant at a decent time, I've booked a table for 10 for 7.45pm.

When you check in, ask for a restaurant pre- order form as they are busy on Saturday night so it'll mean we'll get served a little quicker ( more time for beer ??)

Cheers
Wendy

Membership cards located safe and sound along with tickets!
Re parade lap the thing I printed is like a square bar code - is that the right thing? If not will have to work out what I need and print from work when I pop in at lunchtime!
