2024 E- Hybrid Cayenne delivery delays

We have awaiting delivery, a new 2024 model E-Hybrid Cayenne Coupe. The car was delivered to the OPC in mid September 2023 and we were told that Porsche Germany had put a stop delivery notice on all E-Hybrid versions, due to a number of significant recall campaigns. We were told that we should expect delivery in mid October. We were then informed that delivery would be further delayed until the end of October. Then, in Early November, we were told that a further stop delivery notice. had been placed on these models and that a major software patch was needed to rectify a fault, discovered, on US cars. We were not given a revised timeline but we were eventually notified that the patch would be downloaded to the GB OPC’s on 5 December. On Wednesday this week we were told that the patch release had been further delayed and it was expected to be available yesterday and that the OPC was going to provide priority t9get these cars updated and readied for delivery ( this particular centre has over 20 vehicles waiting in their compound). Last evening we received a generic email from our salesman (obviously sent to all of his clients waiting delivery) telling us that the software update has been further put back to an undated date in January 2024 and that the OPC management are trying to understand from Porsche Germany what the problems causing the continued delay. As a fairly regular Porsche buyer for over 15 years, we have experienced problems but never on this scale. I would be interested to hear from other forum members, who are also waiting for delivery of the E-Hybrid model, and to learn what they are being told.

wow .. that is a tale of woe, feel really sorry for you and the other owners

Sadly Porsche seem to be struggling on a lot of their cars these days. When I picked up my Cayenne from service earlier this week, I commented re how bad parking was despite the massive construction and building work that they had undertaken at the OPC a year or so ago and was told that its the 20+ customer Taycans they are "storing" awaiting parts for repairs

Hi Jon
We are in the same position albeit our car was only built/delivered in Oct/Nov. I'm due to meet up with my OPC this week coming so will report back any updates on what you have been told. I've been given a Macan GTS as an interim which has softened the blow somewhat (there are other issues I've had which lead to this). If it helps, we tested the model out at PEC Silverstone this weekend (check out @_GrandTourer on instagram for pics) and I think it will be worth the wait!

Hi all, unfortunately we’re in exactly the same position. We are still waiting for our car expected Sept 1st but because of a mix up and technical delays here we are still waiting. Unfortunately, the level of information and feedback very much seems to depend on the dealership you use, however, personally I think some actual information from Porsche themselves wouldn’t go amiss as, like everyone else, we are all tired of having to rely on hearsay, social media and anywhere other than the horse’s mouth.

Sidestepped your delivery problems by getting this 2023 Platinum Edition eHybrid - although a holdup with numberplate change has cost us a few days. Lesley loved the colour in the showroom. Yours truly tasked with the unveiling!

very nice Peter, congratulations to you both

Morning Peter,

Congratulations to you both on your new car it looks stunning. what a lovely colour. The Platinum E-Hybrid is such a great car, you certainly won’t be disappointed. I’ve even questioned why I opted to change mine in the first place, especially with all the software issues there is surrounding the new model.

Mahogany - a short run I believe, but looks great under the showroom lighting - and a light brown interior complements it well.

After having a Macan GTS and Panamera Hybrid 4S Platinum Edition loan cars we finally picked up our Cayenne eHybrid last weekend. Very pleased with it so far - full of technical marvels - mechanical, electrical and software related. Worth the wait!

Morning Paul, car looks great, hoping to collect mine all being well on Friday, not going to lie we’re both pretty excited after such a long wait since Sept 1st. Hopefully everyone else who also decided to wait should be getting their cars pretty soon as they start filtering out of the dealerships.

I'm looking forward to reading more about yours and other members, likes, dislikes and real-life reviews of the new E Hybrid, having already read quite a few moans on social media about the speed warning needing to be switched off every time you get in.

Don’t forget we also have our Cayenne Facebook Group for all Cayenne PCGB members, feel free to check it out, post a few more pictures of your car or share more about your experiences.

Thanks Greg and great to hear you will have yours soon too :)

Yep agree the plethora of 'driving aids' is becoming a pain....I thought owning a Porsche was all about the driving experience ??? My understanding was the UK law states they have to be fitted not turned on by default? Would be good to lobby Porsche GB to get the OPCs to offer to turn them off as a default using their software diagnostics equipment?

I'm not on FB anymore - do you have a WhatsApp group? This forum tech is such a poor UX!
