Next monthly meeting on 20th September at Garstang Golf Club will be a quiz organised again by Fred Hindle.[FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana,geneva"]On Sunday 24th September Geoff Markland has organised a visit to Stratstones, ( Porsche Centre Wilmslow). Mee there at 11.00am. Light refreshments will be provided. Following this a visit to Quarry Bank Mill at Styal, about 10 mins away. This is a National Trust property.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

Hello Folks,
The quiz will contain a picture round so bring your glasses if you need them, and also a pen would be handy.
You will also need to bring a brain, for some of you (especially exiled tykes) this will mean bringing a friend!
Will the current holder of the wooden spoon please bring it along so it can either be passed to the new incumbent or kept by the present one.
See you on Wednesday evening.
 
You will be saddened to learn young fred that this exiled tyke can't make on wednesday due to his sister in law having the audacity to have a birthday on that evening.....which is probably the best chance you pie eating lancs will have of beating me !!![:D][:D][;)]

As you are considerably older than me fred i always heed your advice and appreciate that your experience of dealing with the fairer sex is greater than mine....

I told you to stand well back, you young kids never listen, think you know better, well let me tell you sonny, in my day we listened to our elders and got a clip round the lughole if we didn't behave ourselves from the local bobby, who also knew where you lived and who your dad was.
At least you had a chance to get the teeth cleaned and polished with a dremel. Next year get the sil to smack you on the nose, then you can improve that.[:)]
