This is my first post since the winter hiatus. The event was very well subscribed, meeting at the Meadowbank Inn Coffee Shop in Arbroath for breakfast before setting off on a tour around the back roads of South Angus. After re-grouping at Camperdown House in Dundee, we made our way to Gordon Deuchars' private car collection.
Gordon started his career as an apprentice machinist, then set up his own business, GA Engineering, in 1992 and grew this to become a major manufacturer of components for oil and gas, agricultural engineering and electronics sectors. In 2015 he sold the business to Pryme Group. Subsequently, in 2017, he set up a new business, Quest Precision, continuing his focus on precision manufacturing. Gordon is a Ferrari enthusiast with a remarkable collection of cars, grown over many years, and spanning over 60 years of Ferrari production. The collection includes a few other marques, including a Jaguar (XK150), Mercedes, Aston Martin, Ford Mustang Cobra, and a G-series 911 representing Porsche.
As well as his business interests and enthusiasm for cars, Gordon actively supports various charities, sometimes showcasing his vehicles to support fundraising efforts.
Enjoy the photos.
