With the introduction of the 3.2 Carrera in September 1983 which is 1984 model year does this make it officially 25 years old a cool quarter of a century..... if so must be top lawn time[:D] With so many derivatives would make a great spectacle....

Yeah! Sounds good to me, better get the grass cut![:D][:D][:D]
Seriously how many cars are you thinking?

Was just asking if this is our 25th Anniversary was not sure if it was based on model year or debut. That's all.................

I would have thought an anniversary would be based on debut.
It would be nice to do somethig to mark the silver anniversary of the C3.2.
Maybe at the National Event?

Well the debut is 83' BUT in my experience with the 964RS Register it has been based on Model Year ... i.e 84 so not sure as a new owner of a 3.2 if it was celebrated last year or we should do something this year for such a great anniversary and for probably the most important 911 for Porsche ......

Thats mines just turned 25 last month .In fact had it at work this evening, first outing in about four months and after all these years its amazing the interest in them. One older gent was heard to remark, these contractors must be on too much one of thems got a ferrari. lol

True.

My Impreza cost at least 10K more than my Carrera, but only raised an eyebrow when passing McDonalds [:'(]

Funny that - I was driving my 3.2 in fifth as I passed McDonalds. I dropped it down to second and gave it a boot full.[:D]

She dropped her rear end and sped off![:'(][:'(]

I meant my Impreza was only really noticed by the McDonalds frequenters.

The EVO on the other hand had people jumping into the road to take pictures ! (Very rare in the UK when I got mine)

I now see what you mean - I was making reference to the quality of the food and what my car did - perhaps I should have used 'dumped her rear' instead of dropped[:D][:D]

Drove my 3.2 to work last week, got some thumbs up and some "Nice car" comments shouted at me a few times. Also got some negativity as well though.
People are strange.
