I see a small few P reg about and have an R Reg so I know the 996 by that reckoning will be in its 25th year from July this year as we will be marking 25 years after the 1997 Frankfurt motor show launch. Anyone know if we are going to get the same plaudits as the Boxster got over the last 12 months or so or are we getting the Will Smith treatment?

Think that was more my age than the coolant tank ;-) it was all that cold air, any way all looks to be in hand with the press..

**CALLING ALL 996 OWNERS**
- Join in the celebrations as we honour 25 years of the Porsche 996 on the weekend of 14-15th May!
- We begin with a virtual roundtable with 996 designer, Pinky Lai, where YOU ask the questions!
- Taking place 6-7pm on 14th, this virtual roundtable is open to 9WERKS MEMBERS ONLY. If you’ve not yet joined, you can do so (for free) at 9werks.co.uk/register. Joining details for the roundtable will follow in due course.
- THEN on Sunday May 15th a ‘Fried Eggs: 25th Anniversary Special’ will be held @driveheritage, where we’ll be celebrating the first water-cooled 911’s birthday… near the seaside!
- This ‘90s-themed gathering will feature a special display of every 996 model… if you’d like to put your 996 forward for display, email me some pics plus an overview of your ownership story to hello@9werks.co.uk.
- One ticket is required per car – ALL PORSCHE WELCOME – please get your ticket via the Eventbrite link in my bio.
- THEN at the end of the weekend I’ll be announcing details of a special pilgrimage for 25 996s back ‘home’ to
Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart, later this year. Details on how to register your interest will follow in due course.

his will be a big celebration of all things 996 and wether you’re a current or former owner, or an admirer of the first water-cooled 911, you are most welcome to participate. So, how do you like your eggs?!

Would have loved to have joined in but am making the trip up north to do the Porschemerian day on the 15th May.

This is going to be a silly question but where is the Drive Heritage event being held on Sunday 15th May?
I am not familiar with them.
