2nd hand roof from e-bay

Hi all
Just bought myself a hard top, (just a word of warning for those buying on e-bay, check it very carefully before accepting, better still go and check it out before bidding. Went mile's to find it was not as described and had to agree to a £100 discount or waste the trip) apart from having to repaint to correct colour does anyone know how to correctly adjust it to the car?.
On the trip back it has rubbed the paint off the small "roof transport system" plate just to the rear of the drivers door.
On arriving home I have slacken all the adjusting allen bolts around the locking levers, Opened the levers before tightening the bolts, pushing up on the plate so that when the levers are in the locked position the roof is tightened down as much as possible.
However it seems to be a touch low at the front across the top of the screen and the TWO lugs appear to have no vertical adjustment !.

Anyone come across this before ?

regards

Hannu

Hi Hannu - did I see you yesterday on the M65 between the M6 & M61 The car I saw had the roof down and had a fixed spoiler on the boot It was about 2.45pm

Sorry Cary,

Not me although I was in that area yesterday but with hood up and I have no fixed spoiler !!
Cant be many speed Yellow Boxsters round here ! I know of one in Preston that has a fixed hood but no spoiler on that either.

Hannu,
