hi just wondered if anybody had any pointers my oil guage not working at all not oil temp guage this is working fine also engine wont turn over or does very slowly new battery fitted then suddenly turns over very fast and fires up i turn it off after journey then try to turn over and it turns over as if battery is almost dead thanks for any advice martin new member

When you say oil gauge not working i assume the level not pressure. If level check the sender wires in offside rear wheel arch. Check continuity and for corrosion. If you earth gauge should go to full.If it does then sender at fault
On cranking check the earth strap from transmission to body(underneath , earth goes over the torque tube -lift and check condition of cable), mine had corroded and did just that

Hi,
I would say through past experience a replacement starter motor is on the cards.Oil level sender i would have to agree with Geoff check the connections to the sender unit.
