Need to replace my tyres. Road use only.
Any recommendations for good all rounders?
Porsche UK used to have an approved tyre list, but that was 18years ago!

Recently had a pair of Khumo Ecstas fitted to the standard Fuchs fronts on my SC. Hadn't heard of them before but they were recommended by my mechanic. So far so good - relly good levels of feedback and grip.

Others have said good things about them on the SC forum too - see the 'Tyre Choice' thread from a week or two ago.

I used Goodyear Eagle F1s on my 3.2 Carrera and found them excellent, especially in the wet. Very good all round - dry, wet, wear, noise compared to other tyres I had (Pirelli, Conti).

hi mate,
had to buy two new tyres for the rear of my 3.2 to replace the dunlops that were on it. did;nt want to spend to much as i now really only use the car in summer and weekends. i was recommend to get nokian's, which i did. thay are left and right sided and have a fantastic looking tread, also i wanted a tyre that was no loud on the motorway as the dunlops were. went up to the club meet last night and give them some stick and found them to really hold the road.

if you are anyone else want to now where i got them please post

good luck

steve

I fitted SO3s all round six months ago and they are really good. Not been on-track yet but still fast road use is fine.
