3.2 Carrera values

Hello All,

Having read last months Porsche post, it was implied that a mid condition, good spec, high milage car could fetch between 12-13K. Do people know if they are actually selling for that or just advertised. It seems a little high to me? I know its hard to predict, but what do people thing they are actually selling for?

thanks

I sold my 1987 car late last year which had done about 65k miles and was in very good condition (according to the inspection the new owner had prior to purchase) for £15250.

On a personal view I believe it was probably worth about £17k but I settled for an easy sale without any advertising just a single message on this board.

I suppose it depends on the term 'mid condition'

For a car with no significant rust, and generally good, then I would have thought this was about right. Mileage is becoming less relevant I suppose on cars 20 years old. Though mine has only done 20K and this undoubtedly adds a premium, a lot of buyers look at condition (under use can be as bad as too much)

A lot of the 8k cars look like a gamble. Cars that can be trusted to be good demand high prices.

just sold my 89 white sse 88k miles via pistonheads for £15k currently I have a tear in my eye ! but my GT3 look 996 is helping !

I agree about the 'tear in the eye' it took me ages to come to terms with selling the 3.2 even though the 993 which I aspired to is a fantastic car.

Thanks Guys, the 2 examples above are quite a bit lower milage than mine (133k), but I think mine is tidy for the year and milage. Therefore probably about right. I dont think its a 15k car, but 12-13 seems about right.

Now to sort out a couple of niggles prior to thinking about marketing it. Oh and dont worry, I'll be getting another 911!
