3.2 carrera's at Snetterton

hello,
I am from Portugal, it is my first post here, and I like very much Porsches as 930 or 964 RS. I dont have none, yet, maybe later , one or two years i guess to buy one. I heard these models , 930 or 3.0 SC have some escapes of oil or some head boards damage (sorry my English...), but I heard that 3.2 motor air cooled is the best of this type, it is ? what do you think ? thanks for your attention

Welcome. The aircooled engines all suffer the odd leak here and there. The 3.2 probably leaks less if at all if you look after them. Common areas are the cam covers which can be corrected with the turbo covers which are strengthened and prevent leaking.

Overall I would say the 3.2 engine is quite bullet proof and has engine management which is a great opportunity for tuning!

The great thing about the 3.2 was the timing tensioners. These can be fitted to the earlier engines. My turbo has been updated with them too.

Hope you get yours one day.

I read your post again, I think you mean the head studs. Yes, these can fail on any of the engines...

Looks fun. Did the satnav guide you round [:D]

It would have been handy if I could've played the instructors voice through it! I used it for the speedo really, I got over 120mph on the straight.

Anyone know when the club track day calendar will be released.

Want to got to Oulton Park this year, but need to know early enough to book the day off if needed (missed out last year as I was working).

Np, but I think I'm only going to do Oulton this year (also got a single seater day there for Christmas :)
