I'm a little confused - is the boxster sport a 3.2 or 3.4?

A lot of people selling on autotrader are quoting 3.2, even some porsche approved advertisements - but porsche website states 3.4?

do you mean the 987 is 3.4
986 is 3.2?

there are so many 987s advertised as 3.2s!!

this one for example on autotrader.. are these imports or have they just got it wong? i mean this si advertised by a porsche dealer as 3.2? .. and i have seen loads advertised like this..

986 S - 3.2
987 S - 3.2 upto August 06
987 S - 3.4 after August 06

(edited) Mark beat me to it !!!

thanks for clearing that up for me..

i am "dreaming" about getting one - there are some good deals on 3.2s which are only one to two year old - with a high spec, low mileage - £35k

so do you know what the base price of a 3.2 was? - the 3.4 base price is just under £39k
