Would like to get general views on this Forum before I buy the above, I want to store my bootlid with the now priceless Butzi Porsche signature and fancy the 3.8 Wing...have been reliably informed that it leeps the 964RS firmly planted on the straight adding huge stability and downforce all round, I have seen these on Many 964RS 3.6 there must be some of you out there who has experienced the 3.8 and standard active system your comments please.....[8|]

Would you also add the front lip to your front bumper? Would you run 18 inch wheels with wider front and rear tyres?

If yes to the above, probably worthwhile. I no, then might be imbalanced...

NO. NO and thrice NO. Its just simply wrong. From the man who goes on and on about the pure experience! Unbelievable! Get a grip before we nominate you for the next series of "Pimp my ride"!

Jimmyslr has the 3.8 wing and deeper front spoiler - he's overseas today but will be resurfacing over the next day or two and should give you an idea on what it's like

Great idea - go for it. May I also suggest www.maxpower.co.uk as a site for further inspiration, or maybe the 'Ripspeed' catalogue from your local Halfords?

I've always wanted those neon lights to go under my car - any thoughts on whether I should go for red or green?

PS - the 3.8 wing looks great but is slightly over the top when not on track. you will feel slightly self concious as you cruise round Bromley town centre on a Saturday night with one fitted.

I forgot to add - I've still got the 3.8 wing from the cup car if you want to try it on yours before buying one..

Its in white but is a bit ratty - you're more than welcome to borrow it if you want - let me know

Yes Matt is it actually a 3.8 wing would love to buy it off you can you post a picture and is it the complete bootlid.....?

thanx

I think I have one of these - see picture left. I have never driven the car without it so don't have much more to add. It does add to the "lariness" of the car, but it's yellow to start with! Having chatted to previous owner, it is suggested that it does add to stability and corner speed. mine is balanced with a non-standard front splitter too I think.

I 'm not looking to sell the wing as I may one day 'pimp my ride' and go for the 20" wheels, big spoiler pack & tinted windows look...but if you want to borrow it so you can put it on the car and run it around for a month to see if you do like it or if it makes a difference you are more than welcome

it is the whole wing - the second fin part is not on the cup car when the photo was taken

I'm looking for one of these as well. Jimmy I'll give you a packet of huba buba and my old Mongoose BMX bike. If thats no good let me know how much sterling you want.

I am sorry I can't offer any comparisons as mine is the first and only 911 I've had so far. I do know that as far as high speed stability goes it feels rock solid, although I haven't quite yet managed to hit the redlline in top.

Matt will be asking over the odds for this bit since it spent the best part of three months on the Ubergruppenfuhrers Cup Car!!

Any difference in stability compared to the lecky pop up wing??? Nowt!!

Credibility in Bromley? Ten out of ten! [;)]

(I'll take the usual commision Matt.....[:D])
