Wasting a lunchtime wandering thru the net I came across three of these rare cars with varying stories:

The first above seems to be an honest 911 RS 3.8 c/s, claiming to be one of 12 (!) and asking Euro 150k

The next doesn't appear to have a cage and is asking an astonishing Euro260k... would appear therefore to
be one of the more common road versions (M004?) not one of his claimed 11 (?) clubsports

Assume he's just a dreamer, any thoughts?

While our friend Thomas (Hermanns and Schmitz) currently has a black 3.8 RS clubsport for sale for Euro 170k which he claims is one of 7?

Anyone know the truth?

7 x 3.8 964RS Clubsport I believe to be correct, the value of these the rarist of the greatest ever 911 variant will be what a collector/enthusiast will pay£$£$$$, be careful of the nature of the beast, they can can be messed with easily. You are dealing here with mainly ex-race cars, very very few were garage queens. Get it checked out by an independent specialist or better still factory inspection, particularly parting with 250,000euro! Caveat Emptor....[>:]

The yellow car at 149,000 Euro looks like a real N-GT Clubsport......the 260.000 Euro looks like a normal 3.8 RS!

That was my thinking Des... I'm not about to go buy one of these 3, but am interested in the market forces on the RS's as a whole and was intrigued if I was missing something on the 260k Euro car which you are right, would appear to be a far more common (relatively) standard 3.8RS ... some suggestion perhaps that the engines in both the yellow one and Thomas black one are not the originals?? Still thinking the boy might be a dreamer...

Factory inspection? I wasn't aware Porsche offered that?

FYI, there was a long thread on this and related topics on Pistonheads. Here it is...

Thanks for highlighting that Phil, very interesting debate... Still not managed to work out why the guy with the normal 3.8 RS is asking the extra 100k other than sheer optimism!!! Must still be missing something ...[;)]
