Goldtrack are doing another of their 3 hr endurance Kart races on Thursday October 18th. There will be about 20 teams competing and it is FANTASTIC fun

I'd definately be up for it, but I'm afraid I'm rubbish, I think I managed to spin almost every lap... I've been meaning to get some practice in but haven't had a chance.

So if you're short of numbers please count me in, but probably best not to pick me on the 'A' list as I'll only undo all your good work [:)]

I'm doing one of these in Glasgow tonight.

I realise that's no help to anyone. I'll get my coat "¦

We've got the R21 karting there on the 14th. I'd potentially be up for it, but as it's a work day put me low on the list!

I could be up for it ! I will be at dyno day mid morning we can chat about it then if you like ?
Regards
Andy

Paul, this sounds great but i'm struggling for time off work at the moment so can't make it this time round - i'm using my last day's holiday for a track day at Donington on the 31st. However next time let us know as if i'm able to make it i'm definately up for it.

Any definate takers apart from Peter and I?

It's only 10 days away, but there will be another one in the spring if it's too short a notice

I hadn't forgotten you, but I thought you were just offering in case we couldn't get the numbers.

However now you have said it twice you're in [:D] (and as you are having a practice a few days before us we expect you to be our secret weapon).

Any more? We need one more to make the 944 Four once more :ROFLMAO:

Has Mr Morris had anymore thoughts?

I've even booked the afternoon off.....[:)]

Not sure my practice on Sunday will be a huge help. Knowing the track will not make me any good!

I would love to. But I cant say for definate at the moment. Work commitments Im afraid.Should know by Sunday if there are no takers in the meantime.

Well.....now we're in trouble!

I'm officially rubish at Daytona...[]

They make you serve a drive-through penalty if you get all four wheels of the track. This did happen to me, [8|], and bumped me from a solid and improving 13th to a lap down in 19th place. My best times were in the 1 min 13s region, whereas the leaders were sub 1-11. I'd like to say it was a rubbish kart, but I suspect that a hilly track with slow corners doesn't really suit a fat bloke with no talent!

I'll not be offended if you replace me....[;)]

2.5 S over such a long lap is not that bad. My brother worked for a time fixing the karts at that karting place in Northampton. They would regularily get 'super hero' drivers that would go round a 25s course in 30s.

I think you are to modest.

Yep they did do that last year too, it is to discourage all us wannabe Hamiltons over doing it [;)]. I know I had two of those over the course of the 3 hour race and I'm pretty sure Peter had one too. I can't remember our lap times but we were nowhere near the fast boys and comfortably much better than the slow boys. The important thing with a 3 hour enduro is not to worry about being 5 seconds a lap slower than the racers but not to waste a couple of minutes having a drive through and then another couple of minutes by timing your refuelling piststops when there are already 4 karts queuing for the one petrol pump [:D]

We did that too [8|] We still finished 14th out of 30 teams though (I think [&:])

It's immaterial unless we can find another team member today or tomorrow (unless we want a team of three at £100 each and very achey arms on Friday? )

To be honest, after 10 mins practice/quali and a 50 minute race I was not too tired. There are plenty of straight bits that help the arms recover! I do have a bruised back from the seat, but I always get that...[&:]

I suppose the way to look at it is that for an extra £25 each we get a full hour racing each....[;)]

If we need a fourth, is it worth trying the main forum?

Well I'm happy to be in a team of three and do three 20 minute stints in the race so let's leave it all down to Peter to see if we are now the 944 three

No pressure [;)]:ROFLMAO:

Lap record in the hire karts is 1m7.5s according to the website so your times seem pretty good to me

One of the R21 guys was at the Martin Brundle day on Saturday. He learnt a lot from the GP2 driver on his team, I sadly didn't seem to pick much up from him! [:)]
