3 spoke steering wheels

I'd agree that the 3-spoke does make the interior look nicer.
Not a cheap upgrade however - see HERE for some ideas and prices. The genuine Porsche wheels hold their value very well, so there are no ebay bargains to be snaffled either.
I almost bought a Momo Race last year, but I'm kinda glad I didn't as I'm warming to the originality of the Lozenge design now (and luckily ours is in good condition).

I put a CS wheel on my last 951, and having bought my latest beast I decided to buy a CS wheel to replace the lozenge. But having driven with the lozenge for a while, I became swayed by the look and feel of the original wheel, and ended up selling the CS wheel, at a loss!
If you are looking to buy a CS wheel, it is worth making sure it is a one piece, such as the ESS one. Some have the spokes covered in seperate bits of leather and these can lift at the glued seams. Porsch-apart sell the same wheel as ESS, but I think they it's a bit cheaper.
I have to say though, you'd have to go a long way to get a better quality wheel than the original lozenge.

The 944 does look dated now but not in a bad way - it's still a damn fine looking car and still turns heads, and if the BMW look does catch on with all the angular lines and flat surfaces the 944 look will be bang upto date again!!
I haven't tried a 3 spoke in this car but previous cars have all had a 3 spoke design.
I suppose functionality overrides appearance sometimes, so I am staying with the origional.

the ESS 6x9 exhaust is definately staying!
Got one myself too - looks the part and functions well too.

I agree with you on most points Scott, but I have got a pair of Baltic coloured cup mirrors waiting to be resprayed and fitted. For me, the flag mirrors are the one thing that let the look down.
And if i could find the holy grail of Porsche 'improvements', a set of original Cup1's, (and afford them) they'd be going on too.

Not ideal this morning as I drove the car for the first time in a couple of weeks and for some reason it was running much hotter than normal - I had to put the heater on full blast for the last mile to work as the temp was creaping up quite alarmingly. Seems daft to me me that Porsche put the voltmeter in clear view and hid the temp gauge, or is this not a problem with the lozenge-style wheel?

Happened to me recently. Its probably your thermostat is stuck.
No, you still can't see the temp gauge with the standard wheel either.

It wasn't my first choice from a cosmetic point of view but it came up cheaply on eBay with the right boss and I couldn't resist, but now its in the car I think it looks great.

*This might be a very big lie.
