A fellow has just posted on RennTech about turning 300,000 miles in his 996T. He says he is still on the ORIGINAL CLUTCH!! I was gobsmacked.

Must be lots of long journey's sat in 6th.

Bear in mind he is from the US, probably a lot of freeway driving with very little gear changing and turns !

Missed that bit tracked 6-10 times a year and 300k miles - wow

Pretty impressive stuff though. Those pistons have been up and down a few times to reach that mileage! What's the highest mileage 996t we have in this country? Perhaps we could do a dated poll?

Richard, thought my diesel Astra was doing well with original clutch at 155k.....

As a former PSV (PCV) driver, we were 'taught', vehicle sympathy but that it some accomplishment!

Unbelievable.....
