300zx headlights

I've seen some pics of this conversion on a forum recently [:'(]

I'll have a quick hunt for them

Is this what you meant

They were terrible Rich! Peter Empson will have a selection of them saved, Im sure...

Actually, seeing as I had to wait for the anti-flood timer I have found some:

Might be better (almost passable) if the two slots were removed from the badge panel and the stock front bumper was retained - a sort of squinted GTS kit. Of course it also needs a couple of modern lens'd Xenon projector units. Unfortunately as it looks in these photo's it makes the car look American... which is bad.

[:)] I saw the title and thought 'I must have some monstrosities saved here somewhere', but open up the thread and see you've beaten me to it :ROFLMAO:

Being charitable I imagine the light output for a fixed headlight setup is probably very good, but the looks do nothing for me.

And I fail to see the point. While you might well want your Ricer to look more like a Porsche, surely not even the most ardent Fast N Frivolous fan would want to do the opposite?

Here's another variation on a Nissan 944. Looks better than those other Ugly Ducks and it's got a V8 but I'd be too embarrassed to keep the Porsche badges on them.

Again, the lights don't look too bad - just like the GTS kit but with more modern lamp units. It's the daft front bumper/spoiler and the extra slots that make it look naff.

I quite like that. Strangely, I think it would look better on a different colour car. Almost any colour other than red. Red is very 80's, unless it is on a Ferrari, and the lights and spoiler look too post eighties.

Black would work well as the vents wouldn't look so aggressive. White would also work as white tends to smooth out contours.

Did anyone else see the 924 Carrera GT look-alike at the Ace last year? I use the term "look-alike" in the loosest sense. [:'(][:'(]

I really liked it's 300ZX lights in the metal, and there's no doubt they'd be a practical improvement. The problem was that they are much deeper, so there was loads of stuff moved or removed behind to make room. So, for instance, there was now no windscreen washer system. [&:]

Here's another variation on a Nissan 944.

Unless I'm very mistaken that has also got the widebody wings fitted so the whole thing will be fibreglass and potentially pretty light [8D]

I'd love to see a widebody in the flesh, I'm never quite sure from pictures if it is too much or not
