The 3rd Lincolnshire Wolds Tour takes place on Sunday 24th June 2012. The finer details of the route, including some minor adjustments, were finalised two weeks ago. The Tulip Road Book was completed thereafter and is now with the printers. The 'Final Instructions' and route overview, entitled 'Points North and South', have also been completed and will be sent for print this week.

I can now relax on holiday for two weeks, cruising down the Solent towards the Baltic on the 3rd June, whilst HM The Queen cruises down the Thames.

The Queen, I believe, has a full day already booked for the 24th June starting with a church service. However, I'm sure many of you, when you consult your calendars, will find that you have nothing planned for this day, the day of THE TOUR.

So why not take up this invitation to come out on the 24th June and explore some of the best kept secrets of Lincolnshire - the open roads and the superb rolling hills and hidden valleys. Not only will you have a superb day, but you will also enjoy the best value-for-money scenic tour in the Porsche calendar. At £40 for 2 people in a car, a 130 mile event and a 2 course hot meal at the Petwood Hotel Woodhall Spa finish included - well you'd be daft not to entter this recession busting event. Go on, give it a go, we have places left for members like you!

Unfortunately Cliff, I am affraid I am extremely busy over the weekend of the 23rd, 24th. I am organising and coordinating an Armed Forces weekend in Cleethorpes, with a parade on Saturday and a full Military Tattoo on the Sunday. I wish you well with the Tour, I know you have committed a lot of hours in the preperation of this event. I hope you get a good turn-out and you all enjoy the day. Gavin

Cliff, After Richard told me he had enough helpers this year my entry went in the post. Hope you enjoy your trip to the Baltic in early June. I shall be saying farewell to my 944 on June 1st as I pick up my 1996 993 Targa. Just as I like your 911T I know you are impressed by the 993 Targa. On June 3rd I shall be joining thr Kent Region, R25, at the ferry port terminal, Holyhead, for their week long tour of the Emerald Isle. What a way to christen my new toy! Just shows that what you get out of PCGB membership depends on what you are willing to take out of it. There is plenty of choice out there. So here's to lots of open air motoring, Sue's hair remaining intact and Murphy tucked in safely in the back. I did look at a cabby but decided the targa was the best option. I hope Brod gets his 912 back in time. Keith 1988 944 Turbo S (the rare one)...going after 5 years of enjoyment. 1996 993 Targa (varioram) .....Coming

Just wanted to say what a great day we had the route was great the organisation was fantastic. Can't wait for next years this time I will fill the tank up! Thankyou to all who put much time and work into making this happen.

Thanks to Cliff for doing the Clerk of the course bit and 'building' the route book, and also the rest of the team of supporters/helpers for today

Just wanted to add our thanks to Richard, Cliff and everyone else involved in organising today's tour and to the R4-ers that made us R7-ers feel welcome. It was nice to meet some new Porschey people from our neighbouring region (and beyond) and listen to their stories. Really enjoyed the route, especially with the added interest of the unplanned water obstacles! The sprint along the B1225 to the M180 at the end of the day was the icing on the cake, what a fantastic road, no wonder Clarkson likes it [:)] Hope to meet up with you again at a future event. Best wishes Michael & Lisa
